Our History

The original St. James Hospital was established in 1910.

In 1957, Watonwan County Hospital opened. The hospital was later renamed Watonwan Memorial Hospital, and then St. James Health Services. 

The name St. James Health Services was adopted in January, 1997.

Until 2008, St. James Health Services was managed by Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

In August, 2006, St. James Health Services broke ground for a new facility, which was completed in November, 2007.

In January, 2008, St. James Health Services joined Mayo Clinic Health System to become Mayo Clinic Health System in St. James.
