Webster Elementary opened its doors in September of 1957 with six classes of students in grades 1-6. Margaret McWhirter was the first principal of Webster Elementary School and later became Assistant Superintendent of Clear Creek I.S.D. Webster Elementary was later named in honor of her. In August of 1971, Webster Primary opened its door adjacent to the existing elementary school with grades K-2. Third grade was later moved to the primary building. The school was combined into one school in 1976 and then separated back into two schools 3 years later. They remained as two schools until 1992 when they were once again combined into McWhirter Elementary School, which it remains today.
