About Us

Millville Elementary was established in 1939. It began as a four room school house with a lunchroom and small gym. It also included a bomb shelter under the school. The lunchroom has since been turned into the art room and the old gym is now our reading room. Several wings have also been added to the original school as well as a full size gym that is also used as a lunchroom.

Millville is a federally funded Title I School. Title I status is determined by the socioeconomic status of each school. This mean that we are provided extra money by the federal government to hire highly qualified para-professional to assist with research based small group instruction.

On December 12, 2008 Millville was the recipient of the 2008 Utah High Performing Title I School Recognition award. The accompanying letter states, “Title I schools that are able to achieve levels of performance above the state average are to be commended for their success. The Utah State Office of Education appreciates the dedicated service of teachers and administrators who work hard with parents in achieving this high level of student performance.”

Millville is also a UBI (Utah Behavior Initiatives) school. Rules have been established in each area of the school. Students are reinforced for following the rules.
