Mission of Mercy provides primary health care, including prescription medicaitons, to the uninsured working poor at no cost to its patients. It does this from its 40-foot mobile clinic, which visits one community center and four churches in the Coastal Bend on a regulary scheduled basis. Mission of Mercy's patients work but cannot get health insurance through their employer and cannot afford the high cost of health care. Yet, because they work, they do not qualify for public assistance. Mission of Mercy is the only organization that specializes in helping these people.
