Mitchell Valley Farm is an up and starting organically grown produce and small grain farm. The farm is located 3 miles South of Mitchell, NE and about 8 miles West of Scottsbluff.

Last season was a great first season! The CSA lasted 20 weeks, and the goal for 2011 is 26 weeks. The production area is going to be expanded about threefold. There will be 36 full (or bushel) shares. Here are the 2011 CSA details:

Traditional Shares PECK: This one's for the single person with little time to cook for themselves, but likes to have some fresh vegetables on hand. $200 HALF-BUSHELL: Ideal for a single person who likes to get a lot of veggies in their diets or for a couple that can't make all their meals at home but want a decent amount of produce to eat when they can $290 BUSHELL: This is the package for the couple or small family that wants to eat healthy vegetable all through the week $375 (I LOVE YOU A) BUSHELL AND A PECK: This package is for those who eat A LOT of vegetables or have many mouths to feed. The 2010 CSA subscriptions ran exclusively pay-as-you-go. The season ran 20 weeks. The mean cost was $12/week for a full share. Earlier weeks were as low as $8 and the last few were upwards of $18.

Mini-Park on 18th & Broadway in Scottsbluff (site of Farmers' Market)  (Fri Sat)
Members pick up their weekly share at 5pm on Fridays at the mini-park on 18th and Broadway. For the duration of the Scottsbluff Farmers' Market, members may opt to pick up on Saturday from 7-10am.
