History:
The Mt. Hope Baptist Church (MHBC) extends to you a welcome to our church at any time to worship with us. As you worship with us we pray that Christ will be made real to you.

Mt. Hope Baptist Church was organized August 27, 1887. Services at that time were held in a vacant school building. In 1903 a one room frame building was erected. In July, 1948 work was begun on a new church. When almost completed, it was struck by lightning on March 25, 1949. It was a total loss with no insurance to cover it. Work once again begun in a matter of weeks, and it was dedicated Sept. 16, 1951.

In 1954, MHBC completed work on a new pastorium. An Educational building was completed in 1959. In 1995 the Family Life Center was completed. In 2002 a new pastorium was built. On August 28,2005, we dedicated our new Worship Center.

The Lord has been very generous to us. I pray that all the buildings will always be used for God’s Glory and to reach the lost.
