The Mountain Regional Arts & Crafts Guild has been active in the area since the early 80's and chartered on July 31, 1990.

The Guild is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to encourage and develop the accomplishments in crafts through the use of show exhibitions and scholarship.

Current membership is at 50+ and growing with members from Towns and Union Counties in Georgia and Clay, Graham and Cherokee counties in North Carolina.

Funds raised by the Guild are used for scholarships to accredited schools such as the John C. Campbell Folk School, The William Holland Lapidary School, Georgia Technical and other colleges. Funds are also raised by annual events, dues paid by members and private donations from individuals and corporations.
