The Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad (MRSR) is a steam-powered heritage tourist railroad operating in Washington State between the towns of Elbe and Mineral. MRSR, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is the longest continuously operating steam train railroad in the Pacific Northwest. The railroad travels on tracks that pass through the foothills and forest south of Mount Rainier.

The MRSR runs a collection of rare vintage trains and more than 90 percent of the crews who keep the trains rolling are volunteers. MRSR is the only tourist attraction in the area between Mount Rainier National Park and Mount St. Helens National Monument capable of providing an activity to over 500 guests daily. The depot, gift shop and ticket office are located in Elbe. The trains travel to the MRSR restoration and maintenance shops and the Western Forest Industries Museum in Mineral, WA.

The railroad currently has four steam locomotives in service, as well as an historic F9 diesel-electric locomotive. Most of the railroad's engines are geared steam locomotives. These specialized types of steam engines Shay, Heisler, Climax, and Willamette locomotives were used in the early 20th century for logging.
