The Muncie Community School Corporation is home to an exceptionally talented collection of over 10,000 K-12 and adult education students and the school corporation employs over 1,900 full and part-time faculty and staff members. Our district has 10 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 high schools, an alternative program, an area career center, and adult community education programs housed in over 20 locations in the greater Muncie/Delaware County Area. The corporation Planetarium is located at Central High School. We also have an environmental learning center available for use by all students, faculty, and staff members.

The school corporation has long been a leader in public education within Indiana. Faculty and staff members have received multiple regional and national honors for contributions to specific areas of education and for services to our students and our communities. A number of schools have been designated as Four Star Schools by the Indiana Department of Education. Both Central High School and Southside High School are accredited by the North Central Association of Schools. At present, seven of our schools are Professional Development Schools in partnership with Ball State University.

The faculty, staff, and administrators of the school district are exceptionally well educated and dedicated to teaching and learning.

Because of the size of the school corporation, we are able to provide an unusually broad and rich curriculum to our students. We truly believe each child should be encouraged to explore and pursue his or her gifts and interests. Each grade level, department, and program offers unique and challenging opportunities for students. The Muncie Community School Corporation excels in extracurricular as well as curricular activities. The school corporation enjoys the support of our community as evidenced by the excellent facilities made available to our students. We have multiple partnership programs with local area businesses and with Ball State University. You are invited to visit and see first hand why we believe our Muncie Community Schools are excellent places to learn.
