New Stanton United Methodist Church

612 S. Center Avenue
724-925-9339

The New Stanton UMC was founded in 1875, and was called the Methodist Episcopal Church of Paintersville. The small, wooden church was the only building the church owned until it purchased the old school building (1872) adjacent to its property, in 1980. These two quaint buildings served the church until 1993, when they were declared unsafe for use. In December of 1996, the congregation worshipped for the first time in the new building, which sits upon approximately 5 acres of land, including the land from the original buildings. Many stories of the building project attest that this place is truly a blessing from God. It is a beautiful facility, with a wonderful worship center, that aids the ministry God is doing here.

We are proud of 130 plus years of Christian ministry in this community and we look forward to meeting the needs of this growing community, for many years to come.
