Established in 1956, the Novato Knicks semi-professional baseball club is the last semi-pro team in Northern California. With over 50 games per season, the Knicks travel across California and the West.

Entirely self funded, the Knicks are a combination of veteran players (ex-college & pro) and current collegiate players. The Knicks were founded and fully supported until 1995 by Ed Salmina, a local newspaper editor and community leader. The team is currently managed by Chris Kenyon.
