Orange County Radio Amateurs

Now beginning their 21st year, the Orange County Radio Amateurs are a group of federally licensed Amateur Radio operators dedicated to providing emergency communications for Orange County, North Carolina.

We own and operate four repeaters in the Chapel Hill area, with the flagship repeater on 442.150MHz (PL 131.8Hz), and we also administer monthly volunteer exam sessions under the authority of the ARRL VEC.

Membership Meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at the Orange County Emergency Services building in Hillsborough (except December, when we hold our holiday dinner), and all licensed Amateur Radio operators and other interested individuals are welcome to attend.

More information can be found on our website.   Subscribe below to our NCOCRA Yahoo! Group ("the OCRA reflector") to be kept aware of upcoming events and other items of interest within the Orange County ham radio community.
