30 Lake Street

Founded in 1881 by local banker John T. Mott, the Oswego Yacht Club was a vibrant force in Lake Ontario yachting. One of the founding clubs in the Lake Yacht Racing Associastion, Oswego was the host of many yachting events. Early in the depression, the Club disbanded and remained dormant for some 50 years. In 1980 a group of local boaters reformed the Club and quickly celeberated its Centennial Anniversary. Once again, the Oswego Yacht Club has become an active participant in Lake Ontario Yachting. Located in Oswego, New York, the club hosts a variety activities for all boaters.

The PHRF, Portsmouth, and Sunfish Sailing fleets race weekly in the open waters of Lake Ontario. Each summer the Club hosts the Sail Oswego Regatta which draws more than 50 boats from all corners of the Lake. In the past, the OYC has hosted the Flying Scot North American Championships (1989 and 1996), district regattas for several one-design fleets, portions of the Lake Yacht Racing Association annual regatta, and the long distance race for the annual Eastern Yachting Conference's Regatta.
