Past Pleasures Car Club

PO Box 663
951-306-5693

The club meeting location is in Yucaipa, California, which is in the foothills about 80 miles due east of Los Angeles, and we have members from all over the Inland Empire.  Our cars run the complete gauntlet of all makes and all stages of restoration.  We are looking for a few good folks who may be interested in joining our organization.  To that end, we would like to tell you about ourselves and some of our activities.

Our members are from every sort of background and employment, but our common interest is the love of the classic automobiles and music of the 50’s and 60’s. There are no requirements as to what kind of classic or hot rod you drive. In fact, you don’t even need to own a classic to be a member.

Every month from April through November, we sponsor a Family Cruise Night at the Von’s Shopping Center in Yucaipa.  There is NO ENTRY FEE to enter this show, but we do limit entries to pre-1980’s vehicles.  This is held on the First Friday of the month and features some great Fifties and Sixties Oldies music, a raffle, 50/50 raffle, games and prizes, and some really nice awards for the cars brought out that evening.  This Cruise Night draws anywhere from 170 to 230 cars.  The shopping center is on the Northeast corner of Yucaipa Boulevard and Oak Glen Road, and the bank is at the far east end of the center.  It’s possible you have visited our show with your car and we hope you enjoyed your visit and invite you to return.

Other club activities include outings to interesting destinations. Many are car oriented, but some are just interesting. At Christmas we enjoy a club dinner with gift exchange. We have also participated in the Lions Club Christmas parade. For the past several summers, we have held a Potluck Picnic at various parks around the city. We also have cruised to Peterson’s Car Museum in Hollywood, Peggy Sue’s Diner outside of Barstow, and have participated in the Los Angeles County Fair by cruising in and showing our cars at the Fairgrounds.. The club is always looking for new things to visit.
