About Us:

Peosta Elementary is a preschool through grade 5 Center in Peosta, Iowa. It is one of six elementary schools in the Western Dubuque County Community School District.

Peosta is a small community of approximately 800 residents. The student population at Peosta Elementary is made up of mainly children from the town of Peosta as well as the surrounding rural area.

Construction on the building began in June of 2002 and was completed in April of 2005. The school consists of 16 classrooms, art room, music room, media center, multipurpose cafeteria. The building uses geothermal energy for heating and cooling resulting in year-round climate control.

The faculty at Peosta Elementary is dedicated to providing a challenging and rigorous curriculum to all of our students, in a nurturing and safe environment. In addition to the cadre of excellent classroom teachers, Peosta Elementary offers specialist education in Art, Music, Media, Physical Education, Title One/Reading Recovery, Speech and Language Development, Counseling and Special Education. We facilitate the growth of our students socially, behaviorally, and emotionally, as well as academically.
