History:
Our current Pickens School was completed in October 2006. This building was constructed to replace the school that was built in 1936, with its first graduating class in 1937. The 1936 school was built to replace the Pickens School that had been destroyed by fire in the previous school term.
Our new school consists of 5 classrooms, a library/computer lab, a cafeteria and kitchen, a teachers' work room, 5 restrooms, 2 shower rooms, 2 offices, and a newly renovated gymnasium.

The first graduating class from our new facility celebrated their commencement on May 26, 2007. That Senior class had four students.
