2011 CSA Schedule

Spring ------ June 7 - June 30 ----- 4 weeks

Summer ---- July 5 - Sept 8 ------ 10 weeks

Fall --------- Sept 27 - Oct 27 ------- 5 weeks

Holiday -------- Nov 1 - 17 ---------- 3 weeks

Our CSA is old fashioned. This isn't a farm stand but a box of produce that we'll put together for you. We grow everything we can grow that makes sense for us to grow, plus some things that don't make sense but that we grow anyway because our customers ask us to. We'll give you some of everything we grow. You should get ALL your favorites that will grow in New Hampshire (no mangoes or iceberg lettuce) plus some things you've never heard of before. The things we grow that are unfamiliar have only lost favor since the advent of supermarket. We are not a supermarket. Your food isn't old, it's brand new, fresh. You'll enjoy a real, seasonal taste and a healthful food that is better than not bad for you; it's food that's good for you.

The Spring CSA will start off our season with greens like arugula, spinach, head lettuce, and baby mixes supplemented by vegetables like salad turnips and radishes.

The summer will include corn, potatoes, peppers, eggplant, and of course Katie's amazing salad mixes, and head lettuces. Plus cucumbers, squash, beets, baby carrots, and much more.

New Hampshire's climate is particularly suited to Fall Harvests of delicious greens like Kale and Mustards, along with Winter Squash, Celeriac, Fall Cabbage, sweet storage carrots, and leeks.

The Holiday share will provide you with the sweetness that only happens when some of the produce gets a little frost: the best carrots, storage veggies like Kohlrabi, and Cabbage, and delicious Brussel Sprouts and delicious cooking greens.

The list is incomplete but should give you an idea of what our season will be like. We'll also have several events over the course of the season and hope that you'll join us for music, picnics, and workshops.

Pork Hill Farm is a new family farm on the borders of Ossipee, Tuftonboro, and Wolfeboro.

The farm is synthetic chemical free. In 2011, all the fields will be certified organic.

We offer a CSA that includes Spring, Summer, Fall, & Holiday options.

We have intensive work shares available to trade for significant discounts and free shares.

We are expanding our production again this year and are happy to contribute to the local food stream, so let your favorite grocery stores, caterers, and restaurants know that you appreciate when they buy local and organic.
