About The School

Prairie View Elementary School is one of two elementary schools in the Ellsworth Community School District, in Wisconsin.  Our school district encompasses about 1/3 of Pierce County in Western Wisconsin.  Our school is comprised of five small communities along the Mississippi River (Hager City, Diamond Bluff, Bay City, Esdaile and Maiden Rock).  Our school has a student population of about 200 and a staff of approximately 40 (teachers, aides, other support staff).

While visiting our school you are welcome to take a hike in our 40 acre Prairie View Nature Center, located next to our school.  We have an outdoor classroom, miles of trails, salt lick areas, wild flower areas, and many different animal species.  We have spent 15 years developing our nature center with the help of dedicated staff and parents.
