The Purity Baptist Church was founded as a mission work out of the New Providence Baptist Church, Paris, KY in May of 1991. Bro. Donnie Burford was the missionary. We began in a tiny store front on Old Main St. in Old Washington, part of Maysville, KY.

In 1994, we moved to an old house in Maysville which was remodelled to accomodate worship. The Purity Baptist Mission was organized into the Purity Baptist Church under the authority of her Mother Church in 1995, and they called Bro. Burford as their Pastor.

In 1998, the Lord brought us full circle and providentially provided for a nice building back on Old Main St. about 1 mile from where we began. After much remodelling, the office building was converted into a very nice, functional House of Worship where we currently reside.

We believe in the necessity of a Mother Church, and in the perpetuity of the Lord's kind of Church
