Rancho Cucamonga Woman's Club

In early 1908, thirteen women of the Cucamonga area met with the idea of starting a woman’s club. Later in 1908 the club joined the California Federation of Women’s Clubs and in 1933 it became a member of the national organization, The General Federation of Woman’s Clubs in Washington D.C. We currently have more than 80 members and will be celebrating or club's 100th anniversary in January 2008.

Meetings were held in member’s homes for many years, but outgrowing this arrangement and exhausting the available facilities, the club, in conjunction with The Men’s Service Club of Cucamonga purchased the Sweeten Hall facility in the mid 1950’s. In 1983 the Men’s Club purchased the Woman’s Club’s share of the property. A building fund has been established for the purchase of a future meeting facility. In the meantime the interest from the money allows the club to donate to many projects. Our meetings are currently held at the Alta Laguna Community Clubhouse located at 10210 Baseline Rd. in Alta Loma
