We do allow a shopping basket approach with a suggested weekly list. On occasion, we may have to limit items to make sure everyone gets some. (only one pint of mulberries per family please) Additional items such as jams and jellies will always be available. Cooking, canning and preserving classes will be offered on occasion or by request for an additional cost.

We began by looking for a great place to raise our four chidren in a more relaxed - not under our noses all the time- kind of life. We found a civil war era home on 12 acres that needed extensive (and still does!!) renovations. As we went along, we discovered that our 12 acres have much to offer, from mulberries, blackberries and gooseberries to black walnuts and maple syrup. We also discovered that we really were capable of doing a lot more to support our family and feed our family than our city upbringing led us to believe. We also discovered that others were interested in what we had to offer.

We started clearing land from major overgrowth and planting fruits and veggies to keep us healthy.
