Reformation Lutheran Church was organized in 1961. There were 75 charter members. They met at the American Legion until they were able to break ground two years latter. Soon the church was flourishing with many young families.

In the 1980's and 1990's, the church fell onto hard times. Member’s moved away, the church struggled in reaching out to the community, and eventually spent seven years without a pastor. However, through it all the members of Reformation Lutheran Church continued to gather around God’s word.

In 2001, the church saw a new day as they called a young pastor out of seminary. With his arrival the congregation directed its’ focus back towards the neighborhood. Soon families started coming back to the church.

Who are we? We are old and young, married and single, long-time Christians and new to the faith. We exist to proclaim the Holiness of God, the Lowliness of man, the Great Reversal in Christ, the Great Commandment to our neighbor, and the Great Commission to the ends of the earth.

One of the Biblical truths that drives us comes from Romans 5:8: “For God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. “

This verse is important because it tells us that the love of God originates in Him and not us; thus we cannot save ourselves but must rely on God’s grace. Second the love of God manifests itself in Jesus’ death on the cross. What this means is that there is no better proof to know of God’s love than the cross. This is important because finances come and go; our emotions change; life has its ups and downs; however, Christ’s death is always the same. That is why the apostle Paul tells us, “For I decided to know nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified” (I Corinthians 2:4).”

We at Reformation Lutheran Church invite you and your family to come alongside us as we try to know nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified.
