Rochester Country Fair

History

The Rochester Country Fair Committee was founded in 1999 by a small group of Rochester residents: Dianne Wood, Julie Koczera, Arthur Westgate, Chris Faustino, Duffy Clapp, Pat Lafleur, Slim Bernier, and John Lafleur. The original intent of the committee was to coordinate a Millennium Celebration, a celebration to welcome a new millennium and to reflect upon the one which we had just left.

Originally held at Plumb Corner, The Rochester Country Fair has become a successful Town event over the years thanks to the help of many hard working, dedicated individuals who donate their time, enthusiasm and community spirit. The Rochester Country Fair is funded solely by fundraising events and donations received from its supportive residents and local businesses.

The RCF Committee also awards annually two Higher Education Awards to one Rochester resident senior from both Old Rochester Regional High School and Old Colony Regional Technical Vocational High School who would be attending College in the fall.

Today, the Rochester Country Fair Committee prepares to hold its 20th Annual Fair at its new fair grounds located at 65 Pine Street. The Fair will begin on Thursday evening, August 8th, 2019 and ends on Sunday evening, August 11th, 2019
