Rochester Reformed Presbyterian Church

115 East Avenue
585-385-7540

Please feel welcome to join us in worship of our Heavenly Father. If you do, you will likely find that the worship is simple but rich, simply believers offering up a “sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips (Heb 13:15).” The preaching and instruction will be a straightforward exposition of God’s Word, with practical application and exhortation to the listeners. You’ll be reminded of the creeds which Christ’s Church has professed since ancient times, and you’ll witness Christ’s sacraments carefully and regularly administered. Theologically, we are Reformed, which means that we hold to the principles that the Reformation was founded on. This includes the “5 Solas”: Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), Solus Christus (Christ alone), Sola Gratia (by grace alone), Sola Fide (through faith alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (to God alone be the glory). Secondly, our church government is Presbyterian, which means that we exist as a part of a larger body of believers (a presbytery and a denomination). We are a confessional church, meaning that we have taken the time to carefully discuss and document what it is that we believe. That discussion has taken place in the Christian church over the last 2,000 years, and we believe that the truth of God’s Word is best summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Shorter Catechism and Larger Catechism. In addition to adhering to the Westminster Confession, the RPCNA holds to the Testimony of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, which expounds on these beliefs as they apply in our modern age. These confessions, however, are subordinate to God’s Word, which is the final arbitrator of all matters of faith and life. Associations:The RPCNA is a member of the North American Presbyterian & Reformed Council (NAPARC), and we enjoy regular fellowship with the other NAPARC congregations in the Rochester area.
