Rochester, Rochester Hills and Stoney Creek Village Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Oakland County, each of these communities contributes to a rich heritage. This area was founded in 1817 with the settlement of Rochester, and within 20 years the entire area was settled and quickly grew.  Surrounded by the Clinton River and Stoney and Paint Creeks, mills and farms found this an ideal location.
