Rocky Mountain Twist specializes in juniper log furniture bringing you rusticity and elegance at the same time.

We are a family owned and operated home-based business located in Maybell, Colorado, where juniper grows in abundance, making our ideas limitless and every piece of furniture we craft unique. We pride ourselves on creating our pieces based on quality and not quantity.

We collect all wood ourselves, and only use wood that is 90% dead, dying or fallen. In our adventures we have discovered that the more rugged & harsh the country the more unique the pieces of wood become. All of our wood is pressure washed, hand sanded and has a hand rubbed oil finish.. There is no color added; all colors of the wood are 100% natural. We pay special attention to every detail making sure not remove any unique characteristics such as bug "tracks", scars, or burls. Also, all of our bases are handmade and not run through a planer or factory purchased.

We take pleasure in cleaning the wood as during this stage we really get to see what kind of beauty is beneath the layers of bark. From there, we can begin planning the next phase and then finishing the product to ship out to your home.

Tim & I are focused on high quality not high quantity. The work that we do can not be mass produced; it is more of a functional art and not so much furniture. As artists; we do not want to wholesale because we don't want to lose the quality of our work. That is not who we are or what we do. Every time a product leaves our shop, it is like sending a piece of ourselves to our client. Everything is one of a kind, with high attention to detail and a lot of care and passion goes into our work.
