History :

In May 1996, John & Marcia Curtis moved with their family to Huntington, Indiana taking with them a heart for Rogersville in the back of their minds. Being back home in Missouri for the holidays in 1997, John & his father-in-law, Phillip Cook came to Rogersville to look around. After driving around town for a while, they came upon a vacant church building on the corner of Main and McDaniel Street. John's father-in-law said, "There's you a building. I bet you could rent that pretty cheap."

In May of 1998, John Curtis and his family, moved back to Missouri to begin the work God had called them to do. First thing was to find a building to have services in and so the search was on. However finding a building was a different story, until June 1998 when that vacant church building on the Corner of Main and McDaniel Street, became for sale. God instructed John to give a specific offer. He obeyed, and on July 20, 1998, the offer was accepted. It wasn't until September 19 after the loan had been processed & all paperwork had been signed, that the keys were received & the work began.
