About Us

The Roswell Fine Arts League was originally formed in 1981. In 1988, it joined with the New Mexico Miniature Arts Society, resulting in a non-profit organization consisting of over 100 members from throughout southeastern New Mexico, and from several national and international locations. In 1997 the organization formed The Gallery, a non-profit co-operative art gallery that exhibits the works of over 25 area artists representing a wide variety of mediums and styles. The purpose of the Roswell Fine Arts League/New Mexico Miniature Arts Society is to further educate and broaden artists' abilities, to provide artists with opportunities to exhibit their work, to promote public appreciation of the visual arts, to encourage participation in visual arts by the youth of our area and to further promote Roswell as a cultural center for the presentation of fine art, a destination for cultural tourism and a desirable location for permanent residents. "The Gallery" is a project of the RFAL/NMMAS where members may present any type of fine art.
