Rotary Club of Islip

The Rotary Club of Islip is a service-based organization for business and community leaders in the Townships of Islip, East Islip, Islip Terrace, and Great River.

Islip Rotary is a service association of business and professional leaders united worldwide who conduct humanitarian projects, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and work toward world understanding and peace. We believe the more you serve, the more you profit, and we follow the four way test (Is it the truth, Is it fair to all concerned, will it benefit all concerned, will it build goodwill and fellowship). We are non-denominational. We are Americans first, and citizens of the world.

The Rotary Club of Islip is one of 34 Rotary clubs in Suffolk County District 7260, and one of over 26,000 Rotary clubs in 172 countries and geographical regions in the world. Membership is by invitation

The Islip Rotarians meet weekly to enjoy each other's fellowship and discuss ways to serve others. The Islip Rotarians are outstanding human beings who show compassion for the underprivileged, the ill, and the disabled, many of whom the Islip Rotarians have served through their service projects.

Rotary of Islip funded two microsurgery operations for indigent children, and is hosting/sponsoring the hosting of four children. That means it is possible that four children, will get desperately needed surgery, who otherwise would not receive it, because Islip Rotarians made a difference in this world. The Rotarians who host these children and their parents for four weeks, are making profound differences in the world. Most host families feel the hosting experience changed their lives for the better.

The Islip Rotary is sponsoring high school students from several local high schools to attend a one day seminar in March, designed to teach leadership, to tomorrow's leaders. Garnering the finest public speakers on Long Island to not only teach leadership, but teach the high school students how to live their lives, and avoid the dangerous offerings (like drugs, deal with peer pressure and avoid doing wrong) that teenagers face, Rotary is making a huge difference, right here on Long Island. The Rotary of Islip is a "forward looking" organization.
