About Us:

Rotary International is a worldwide organization of professionals committed to community service designed to better life from the local community level to the international community level. The Oakland - Franklin Lakes Rotary Club membership has developed from those who live and/or work in the area.

Community projects have included sponsoring the mini-bus for Senior Citizen transportation, purchasing trash receptacles for a cleaner community, sponsoring fund raising events for various organizations and activities within the communities, annual awarding of scholarships, and acquisition of the Community Bulletin Board near Rotary Memorial Park in the center of town.

In order to become a member of Rotary, a candidate must be sponsored by a current member of the Club. The primary qualification that is sought in a potential member is the willingness and commitment to service that is characterized in the motto of Rotary; Service Above Self and their belief that "He Profits Most Who Serves Best".
