History:

The Rotary Club of Port Richey was sponsored by the Rotary Club of New Port Richey. The charter members started meeting in January of 1981 and the club celebrated receiving it’s charter from Rotary International on March 31, 1981 at the then Holiday Inn at Gulf Drive and US 19. The charter president was Donald K. Vierling, charter vice-president was James Moore, charter treasurer was Michael H. Nelson, the charter secretary was G. Michael Stone, and the charter directors were Robert Barry, Delbert Bliss, Theodore Durling and Leonard Roe.
