The mission of St. John of the Cross Parish is to be a celebrating community joined together by the proclaiming of God's word through the liturgy and other programs: spiritual, social, and educational. We seek human wholeness, peace and bond of charity in our relationships with one another, making the Kingdom of God visible in our community.

We shall develop values through an understanding of our faith. Quality religious programs will be an on-going focus of the Church today for all groups of our parish community.

We shall serve the parish community as Christ taught us to love and serve our neighbor. Through service to others, parishioners will experience a sense or belonging and unity.

We shall commit ourselves as a family of faith and love to become deeply immersed in the struggle and pain of our people. A gentle and loving hand of healing, support and concern must be offered to those who are searching and struggling. In community, we develop the strength to look beyond ourselves.

We shall seek truth and justice in a world of poverty and social concerns. In justice we truly believe and will profess that all are created by God.
