About us:
Scappoose Fire serves the residents and visitors of rural south Columbia county. We are approximately twenty miles northwest of Portland, Oregon on U.S. Highway 30 which follows the Columbia River. Our combined fire and ambulance service area is 100 square miles with a population of 11,000. Current I.S.O. rating is 4 in the city and 8 in the rural areas.

Scappoose Fire is a combination volunteer and career department that responded to about 1200 alarms last year. Stations consist of the main in the city of Scappoose, two rural stations and a boathouse on the river which houses Fireboat 43.
