The Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce, incorporated in 1937, was organized to develop and foster the commercial and civic activities of the Village through the efforts of merchants, service providers, and professional members; to promote goodwill between the residents and this diverse business community, and to liaison with the village government on issues of common concern.

In support of these aims, the Chamber sponsors several events in cooperation with the Village Recreation Department, organizes a merchant summer sidewalk sale, operates an information and referral service to answer inquiries from the public and its own membership, and holds business and social meetings for networking and for sharing problems and solutions.
