Elk Grove Senior Net opened in March of 2001 as a satellite of Palatine Senior Net. We were a satellite for 2 years and progressed to become self sufficient in March of 2003. Through dedicated volunteers our center has developed into a center that started with only Introduction to Computer Program classes. We are now offering 10 plus different type of classes and are always looking for new classes. In the past year our education committee has updated our Introduction to Computer Program curriculum to keep up with the changing technology that exists today. As an example, all our computers are HP with Windows XP.

Our classroom is set up for a maximum of 5 students. The instructor has a coach to assist in aiding the students. Our classroom is student friendly and proceeds at a pace that is agreeable with seniors learning.
