Every month the kindergarten and first grade students are given the opportunity to watch a video that focuses on the current character education trait. After the video the trait is discussed in each classroom. For tolerance and honesty the first grade students were read Practically Perfect Pajamas and The Empty Pot respectively. They were then given an opportunity to complete an at home activity. The activities were then shared by displaying throughout the school. Each classroom teacher was given resources to accompany the character traits. Shupe also participated in the Pennies for Patients collection for service.
