Outdoor adventure in the beautiful Tahoe national forest, environmental and peace education, and a nurturing camp community make Sierra Friends Camp a fun and accepting place where kids can be themselves. Sierra Friends Camp is for boys and girls ages 9-14. And their new Teen Leadership Camp for ages 15 & 16 gives even more opportunity for adventure and fun for tomorrow's leaders. Camp activities include backpacking, swimming, zany games, crafts, environmental and peace education, capture the flag, relay races, and becoming superheroes and/or pirates. Rooted in a Quaker tradition of equality and peace, Sierra Friends Camp is open to people from all backgrounds. While not a religious camp, the Quaker influence means that all people are treated with respect, differences are resolved peacefully, and stewardship of the earth is an important value.
