South River East Brunswick Rotary Club

About Us

The South River East Brunswick Rotary Club was initially organized on April 6, 1930 as the South River Rotary Club. On July 18, 1967, the club was re-chartered as the South River/East Brunswick Rotary Club. We are a community organization committed to building goodwill in our local and world communities for understanding and compassion toward the needs of others.

The Club sponsors an Annual Golf Outing to raise funds, which are directed toward various programs for the youth in our community including:

Scholarships for college and summer camp programs.
Dictionaries distributed to third graders in our local elementary schools.
Support of Early Act and InterAct Leadership programs for our local school districts.
High School Student of the Month Program.

The South River-East Brunswick Rotary Club Foundation Inc., a 501(c)3 organization, which was established by members of our club, raised approximately $40,000 at a Gift of Life Dinner. The funds are used to provide surgery for children with congenital heart defects. Over the last 10 years the Club has brought five children to the United States from foreign countries for corrective heart surgeries.

We also honor our Senior Citizens and donated a Wii system to the Chelsea Assisted Living Center.

Over the holidays the Club provides food baskets and gifts for families in need. We collect and donate toys for children in the local hospitals. And annually we participate in the Driven to Read program and distribute books to the children's ward at the local hospital.

Each May, the Club organizes a Career Day at the local Junior High School and brings in business people from many different professions to speak to the students and expose them to career options.
