About Us:

South Seminole is a Leadership and Global Connections magnet school. The focus of the magnet program is designed to spark the student’s initiative and leadership potential in a global society. The curriculum develops the skills students need to become productive and responsible leaders of the future. Students have the opportunity to explore the language and culture of societies that impact our daily lives. Current technology is utilized to connect with other schools throughout the world to investigate global issues.

South Seminole also offers preparation for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program at Seminole High School. The Seminole County Public Schools Pre-IB Preparatory Program offers an extensive course of study in math, science, foreign language, social studies and language arts--with an emphasis on independent study, in-depth learning and accelerated curriculum requirements.
