Fr. Ralph Barton was appointed the first pastor effective June 25, 1954.
Initially, masses were celebrated at the Parcells School auditorium.
The rectory at 575 Ballantyne was completed in Spring 1955 and became the first parish office.
The first church building was dedicated in September 1955.
The first rooms of the grade school were begun in January 1956 along with the convent.
The grade school building was completed in Fall 1958.
The high school opened for ninth graders in Fall 1959 and the building was completed in 1961.
The expansion of the west end of the grade school building took place in 1986.
The high school ceased operations in Spring 1993 and the 6th, 7th and 8th grades moved to the high school building in Fall 1993.
The west end of the grade school was modified in 1994 to provide much needed parish offices and meeting space.
The Star 2000 Committee was formed in 1995 to develop a plan for renovating the church including finance and design.
In 1997, after much research and many discussions within the parish, the Star 2000 Committee concluded that a new church building was the best solution for parish worship space needs both short and long term.
Groundbreaking for the new church building took place on September 20, 1998.
The new church building was dedicated on November 27, 1999.
