Stark County District #100

300 Van Buren Street
309-695-6123

Stark County Community Unit School District #100 is in its 15th year of existence. It is a consolidation of Toulon-Lafayette District #2, Wyoming Elementary District #27 and Wyoming High School District # 71. One of the main reasons for seeking consolidation was the improvement of the educational opportunities for the students of the districts. The communities also realized the need to increase technological opportunities for students. Consequently, since consolidation, Stark County schools have provided continuous opportunities and experiences for their faculty members to integrate technology into their curricula and teaching practices. Considerable gains have been made in this area, but more remains to be done as the district looks toward the future.

The Stark County district is located approximately 40 miles northwest of Peoria , Illinois. It is a Pre-K - 12 school district composed of three schools: one K through 5 building, one Jr. High grades 6-8 building which also houses the Pre-K classes, and one high school for grades 9 through 12. The district enrolled approximately 904 students for the 2006--2007 school year and has a teaching staff of 67. There are 283 students in grades 9-12 and 621 students in grades Pre-K - 8.
