Superior Council For The Arts

About Us

Artists, art enthusiasts and small business owners devoted resources, time and energy to building an arts community in Superior, Wisconsin.  Starting in the "Red Mug" building was a natural, as this is where artists and their studios such as Duluth Pottery, Superior Division were already established. To more accurately reflect our mission, the original North End Arts Council became the Superior Council for the Arts (SCFTA) in 2009.

When use of The North End Arts Gallery (NEAG) and Broadway Community Gardens space were donated to SCFTA by property owner LADAS Development Corporation, SCFTA was positioned to increase the role of the arts in Superior's North End.

The Mosaic Bench in the Broadway Gardens has become a Twin Ports visitor destination attracting international and regional tourists. The addition of the 2010 Howland Chain Saw Tower increases the appeal of the Gardens. Changing regional and national exhibits in the North End Arts Gallery, on the second floor of the historic building, draw art appreciators and tourists alike.

Being a part of the Superior Council for the Arts ... an enriching experience in growing the arts in Superior and the region. Involvement in the Superior Council for the Arts is enthusiastically welcomed.
