Suwannee Valley Players

25 East Park Avenue
352-493-2787

The mission of the Suwannee Valley Players is twofold: To bring quality live entertainment to the tri-county area, and to educate the community in the area of the fine arts of the theatre.

We teach many aspects of theatre craft and welcome any member of the community to join, learn and help in our shows. Over the years, we have watched "our kids" develop confidence, poise, and social skills way beyond those of their peers.

We are also committed to providing our community with cultural opportunities. With plays like 1776, Annie, and Oklahoma, we learn more about our country's history. Plays such as The Wizard of Oz, Twelve Angry Men, The Crucible, Little Women, and The Secret Garden explore great works of literature.

Our membership and our seasons are growing in number and interest level. We are always interested in hearing from people in the community who enjoy being on stage or have a desire to "get their feet wet" in theatre. We are also looking for pianists and other musicians for future musical productions. If you don't want to act on stage but want to be involved, come to a general membership meeting every third Monday at 7pm or watch for audition dates for upcoming shows so that you can speak with the director. Behind the scenes personnel are a definite need especially with a large cast
