Tarboro-Edgecombe Academy (TEA) of Tarboro, North Carolina celebrates its thirty-fifth anniversary this year. Throughout the years TEA has provided a strong academic program along with exciting enrichment and athletic opportunities. The staff and board provides the governance and leadership as "The Academy" trains its students to become productive and prudent citizens for the twenty-first century. Located at 500 Davis Drive in historic Tarboro, TEA strives to instill within every student a sense of honesty and fair treatment of his fellow man and to impart a sense of dedication to American and Christian ethics and ideals.
Small class size, level A certified teachers, CAT scores that are above the state and national averages, the advantage program, a code of conduct that instills self-discipline, a safe learning environment, and a commitment to Christian and American ideals are just a few reasons why TEA is experiencing the strongest growth in years. The pre-K through grade 8 educational program has recently been nationally accredited. The Advantage program takes children at their unique academic grade level and advances them academically each year as it meets their needs. Students who are ready to move ahead early will have the opportunity to be “fast-paced” to a higher level in certain subjects. Students who need to “catch-up” will be offered tutorial services while maintaining their age appropriate social setting. Tarboro-Edgecombe Academy offers over thirty years of experience in the the preschool program. Your children can receive expert care from certified professionals. They will receive as outstanding educational foundation as they prepare for kindergarten.
Our daycare is now accepting 2 & 3 year olds and preschool accepting 4 year olds.
The after school program offers pick-up from area schools and is available on a hourly, daily, weekly or monthly sign-up for your convenience.
Recently remodeled bathroom facilities and participation in the voucher program are some of the new additions to the programs.
