Department Profile
The Texarkana, Texas Police Department presently employs 98 officers. The Department consists of Uniform Services Division, Investigative Services Division, Support Services Division and Administrative Services Division. Our officers are provided with well equipped patrol units including mobile data computers (MDC's), modern weapons, and state-of-the-art radios. We have numerous specialized units within the department including K-9, S.W.A.T., Field Training Unit, Bi-State Narcotics Task Force, Traffic Enforcement Unit, Motorcycle Unit, Bicycle Patrol, Crime Scene Unit, Crime Prevention, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) and School Resource Officers.
