The Rotary Club Of Beaufort
Our History:
The Rotary Club of Beaufort was organized in October 1934, and chartered as club number 3720 on November 15, 1934. The Club was sponsored by the Charleston Rotary Club and is part of Rotary District 7770 and Rotary International.
The Club had eighteen charter members representing the business and professional leadership of the community. Over 200 persons attended the Charter Night celebration on December 12, 1934. Frederick H. Christensen, hardware merchant and brother of former State Senator Neils Christensen, was the moving force behind.
