Thousand Generations Farm

2035 West 40th Street North

Thousand Generations Farm began in 2010 with a small CSA, pastured broilers, eggs from pastured chicken and non confinement pork. We are currently on a small scale, but desire to grow incrementally so that our growth does not overstep our learning.

We have grown our own produce for the past 13 years with the last 6 years being chemical free. We desire to provide local families with the same fresh, delicious, chemical free produce that we have enjoyed, with our goal being that the business allows for Dad to be at home with the family.

Our animals are fed grain that does not contain hormones or antibiotics. The broilers and hens are moved to fresh pasture daily. We currently raise 200-300 broilers a season, butchering in June, August and October.

We will provide 1 box of vegetables weekly beginning the last week of May/1st week of June and extending 18-22 weeks. Our goal for each share will be to supply approximately enough produce for an average family of four or two vegetable loving adults. Amounts and types of vegetables will vary from week to week, depending on seasonal availability.

Approximately 38-40 vegetables and 10 herbs will be grown over the season, with the goal being that each week's box contain 10-15 different vegetables and several herbs.
