We
gather each and every Sunday to offer our worship to God, our Heavenly
Father, and His son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Recently,
as I thought about our corporate worship and my private worship of the
Lord, it came to mind that God does not need my worship even though He commanded us to offer our worship to Him. God is complete without us,
or our worship. Why, then,did He command us to worship
Him? First of all He is absolutely deserving of all of our worship and
more. Every good and perfect thing we have came directly from His hand.
Secondly it must be that we need to worship Him. Worship is a time when
we set aside our priorities to make God our priority, and when we do
so, He has said that He will draw near to us.We will
worship what we love. Do you love Jesus? He loves you so much that He
gave His life on the cross so that you can have a relationship with
God. Heaven will be filled with worship. We will worship Him forever in
Heaven. Come and practice how your worship may look in Heaven!
