Vermont Chamber of Commerce

PO Box 37
802-223-3443

History:

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce was formed on Dec. 15, 1950. During the past five decades, the Chamber has grown to become a private, nonprofit business organization representing nearly every sector of the state's corporate community. Our mission is to create an economic climate conducive to business growth and the preservation of the Vermont quality of life.

What do we mean by "the Vermont quality of life." If you live here, you know. If you've visited, you've caught enough of it to want more. And if you've never been here, what is taking you so long?

Our activities are vast, our commitment to the state unwavering, and our energy for the business community boundless. The Vermont Chamber actively lobbies for the business community at the Statehouse in Montpelier, gives away more than 500,000 publications and guides to educate and attract visitors and tourists, publishes a quarterly newsletter to keep members informed, serves as a conduit between businesses and the media, maintains an international trade program including a full-time office in Taiwan, and houses and works closely with the state's Business and Education partnership.
