Village Of Clearwater

626 Main Street
402-485-2365

The village of Clearwater (Clearwater Station) was plotted by the Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley railroad in 1881 at the location where the Clearwater Creek enters the Elkhorn River in western Antelope county. The first big 'boom' came in 1888 as lots for buildings of homes were almost impossible to find and Main Street was full of business buildings with living quarters on the second floor. Clearwater continued to grow as most of the Homestead land was settled. Today Clearwater has a population of 384.
